Concerto in D minor by Klaus Miehling is one of three winning pieces from the Ruzickova Composition Competition 2023 ❤ This performance was recorded live during a concert at Mercato Mayfair in London on October 29 2023. “After the concerti in F major (op. 30, 1990), also for baroque instruments, and e minor (op. 100, 2004), for modern instruments, this is my third violin concerto and the first to be performed. It is quite conventional in having three movements with the sequence fast – slow – fast: The concerto is also conventional in its style; the best way to compose for baroque instruments is probably – to compose baroque music. There is still much to say in this language.” – Klaus Miehling Read more: https://www.adawitczyk.com/klaus ------------------------ Website: https://www.adawitczyk.com/ Instagram:   / adawitczyk   Facebook:   / adawitczykviolin   Composer: https://klausmiehling.hpage.com/ ------------------------ Solo Violin: Ada Witczyk Conductor: Nick Hardisty Violin I: Simon Standage, Lorenzo Narici, Francine Maas Violin II: May Robertson, Wilmien van Rensburg Viola: Anita Kurowska Cello: Mark Walkem, David Winfield Double bass: Harry Buckoke Harpsichord: Dominika Maszczynska Sound producer: Oscar Torres Film director: Simon Helbling DP: Piero Cioffi Cam operator: Pierluigi Campa Cam operator: Laura Seward Hair & makeup: Taina Vez #concerto #baroqueviolin #compositioncompetition
